Black and white plates showing several authors described within the text. Foreword by Ernest R. Gee. The biographies begin with the Second Duke of York and continue on through William Hamilton Maxwell and many more. The list of luminaries goes on and on. Nearly every sporting author with American or British origins is included herein. Although it is primarily a horse and fox hunting book, there are other authors included.

The book is bound in green cloth with gilt titles on the spine and "Mr. Osbaldeston's Furrier" in gilt and color on the front board. Green cloth slip case with a white titling label on the spine.

Stored in plastic in a smoke free home.
