7 Authentic Victorian French Jet Beaded Appliques

These 7 antique appliques are dated to 1830. They are authentic Victorian antiques, they belonged to my GG grandmother. These are handmade and 3" x 2 " not including the dangling portion. The beads are barrel shaped black glass, also known as French Jet.

These were used on a mourning dress.

The applique portion is in great condition. There may be a few small spots with missing or loose beads. The dangling parts are missing strands on most of the appliques.

Perfect for millinery, incorporated into an article of clothing or restoring an antique dress.

They show wear consistent with an antique item. The fiber is not brittle but care should be used when cleaning. Suggestion would be, if incorporated into a clothing item, that they be attached in such a way that they can be removed before cleaning.
