9 Authentic Victorian French Jet Flower Appliques

These 9 antique appliques are dated to 1830. They are authentic Victorian antiques, they belonged to my GG grandmother. These are handmade and 3" x 4 ". The beads are barrel shaped black glass, also known as French Jet. Lovely intricate flower shape.

The applique portion is in excellent condition. There may be a few small spots with missing or loose beads. The thread is not dry rotted and these are quite sturdy. It is rare to find so many of the same design.

These were removed from a mourning dress from the 1890's.

Perfect for millinery, incorporated into an article of clothing or restoring an antique dress.

They show wear consistent with an antique item. The fiber is not brittle but care should be used when cleaning. Suggestion would be, if incorporated into a clothing item, that they be attached in such a way that they can be removed before cleaning.
