Antique Medical Book " Lexicon Medicum" By Hooper - 1829 - Medical Dictionary - 2 Volumes of 2

Antique medical dictionary from 1829. Fourth American edition. This is both volumes in one binding. The binding is contemporary and the volumes inside are all original. Binding is in mint condition. The pages inside are what you would expect from a book from 1829. The print on the pages is tiny! Beautiful spine for your shelf. Leather and gold.

There is age related browning and some pages have more foxing than others. The pages are secure and are not brittle. Spine is tight and has not been cracked. At the section where the 2nd volume is, there are a couple loose pages that are not significant. Those pages are the blank front pages from the original edition.

Pages are not brittle, however, I suggest that the book is handled with archivist gloves ( cotton from amazon) and stored in temperature controlled area and dusted frequently. Currently stored in archival conditions in my home.

This book is heavy at 3+ pounds. It is 9"x 6"x 3.5"
