This book is in excellent near new condition. It is concertina (folded) style. The artwork is tissue cuts on rice paper with gold flecks. There are 10 jianzhi. The condition of the work is excellent and the colors vibrant.
It was most likely made for tourists. It is written Chinese and shows scenes from the Yangzhou city. The writing describes the scenes, one is a school and others are majestic building in or near Yangzhou.
It is intended to be read in traditional Chinese fashion, horizontally right to left and back to front and front to back.
The paper is beautiful as are the jianzhi. They are removable, and not glued, they are held in place by a plastic sheet.
Stored in plastic in a non smoking home, this has no lingering odors.
